What is Project Contempo?
It is a venture to organize a series of compact yet high-impact events across major Canadian centres aimed at helping Canadian Asian Christians to live out their faith in the workplace. It is our hope that each of the events will act a focal point where interaction and networking can occur. This will, in turn, serve as a stimulus or catalyst for further dialogue and group learning.
Our Name "Project Contempo"
The name "Contempo" literally means keeping up with the tempo, heart-beat, and culture of contemporary society. It implies that Christians should be watchful of the rapid changes in our society and workplace so that we can deliver a distinctive Christian message through our work and everyday life.

Birth of Project Contempo
Project Contempo is a vision of Dr. Clement Yeung (Winnipeg Chinese Alliance Church) that began in 2002 in Toronto, after he was asked to be the National President of the Canadian Chinese Christian Business & Professional Association (CCCBPA) and shared his passion and vision for the 2nd and 3rd generation Canadian-Born Chinese and received unanimous support. When the opportunity came in 2003 to start a new project in Toronto, Project Contempo crystallised, and he shared the idea with the delegates at the 2004 CCCBPA National Conference in Gimli, Manitoba.
